About the Role

As a Finance Systems & Transformation Analyst (ERP Project Accountant) at Communicate Finance, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial systems are running smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining financial controls, preparing management accounts, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. The successful candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, excellent systems aptitude, and a proactive approach to taking ownership of finance processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full monthend close, including journals, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Preparation and review of management accounts in line with IFRS
  • Maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring data integrity
  • Working closely with operational teams to understand business drivers
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Leveraging ERP systems and Excel to improve reporting and processes
  • Assisting with audits and statutory compliance
  • Taking ownership of finance processes as the role develops

Requirements

  • Strong accounting fundamentals (month end, IFRS, reconciliations, controls)
  • Clear systems aptitude – ERP exposure, strong Excel, comfortable working with data
  • Curious, proactive, and willing to take responsibility early
  • Ambitious and keen to grow into a broader finance role over time
  • Stable track record, ideally having completed at least one full cycle in a role

Qualifications

Newly qualified CA(SA) or close equivalent (CIMA / SAIPA / BCom + articles)
