About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Planner to join our team in Sandton, who can bring a passion for golf, cycling, or sport to drive performance in the apparel and footwear categories within The Pro Shop. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for hosting planning meetings, presenting reports, and influencing decision-making with data.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Buyers, suppliers, and stores
- Host and drive planning meetings, present reports, and influence decision-making with data
- Handle complexities of seasonal buys, size curves, and fashion-driven product cycles while demonstrating strong analytical and commercial skills
- Drive performance in the apparel and footwear categories within The Pro Shop
- Ensure a balance between the art of seasonal ranges and the science of planning and analysis
- Support the growth of the Softlines business through effective merchandise planning and category management
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in retail merchandise planning, ideally in Clothing, Footwear, or Accessories
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
- Strong forecasting, OTB management, and sales and stock planning capabilities
- Ability to analyse performance (Sales, GP, GMROI, Forward Cover) and drive corrective actions
