About the Role
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will strengthen their expertise in financial management while gaining exposure to broader business operations and strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities
- Accounting & Financial Management
- Prepare, monitor and manage departmental budgets
- Compile, analyse and interpret financial reports and statements
- Develop and maintain strong financial controls, policies and procedures
- Prepare management accounts and supporting schedules
- Optimise revenue streams in collaboration with executive management
- Debtors, Creditors & Bookkeeping
- Supervise and manage debtors and creditors
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
- Conduct debt collection and follow up on outstanding accounts
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
- Manage bookkeeping functions for multiple entities
- Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Prepare VAT201 report
- Process payroll documentation
- Prepare reports
Requirements
- Skills in accounting software (e.g. SAP, Xero)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
Qualifications
- Relevant postgraduate diploma or certificate in accounting (e.g. CIMA, ACCA)
