About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Night Shift Supervisor to oversee all production and operational activities during night hours at our concrete manufacturing facility in Blackheath, Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of industrial processes, and the ability to maintain safety, quality, and efficiency standards under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise night shift production, ensuring output meets quality and quantity targets
  • Monitor staff performance, enforce discipline, and ensure adherence to shift schedules
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings and post-shift handovers with clear reporting
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate where necessary
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of machinery and equipment
  • Record production data, downtime, and incidents accurately
  • Coordinate with logistics and dispatch teams for timely loading and delivery

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (concrete or construction materials preferred)
  • Strong understanding of production workflows, safety protocols, and team management
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in a factory setting
  • Willingness to work night shifts on a rotational or fixed basis

Qualifications

Matric required; technical or supervisory training advantageous
