About the Role
A prestigious luxury lodge in Hluhluwe, KZN is seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to take full responsibility for its kitchen operations. This role is perfectly suited to a passionate culinary professional who excels in a high-end hospitality environment and is committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Train, mentor, and develop kitchen teams
- Design and implement 7-day menus in line with food styling guidelines
- Maintain kitchen hygiene standards and food safety practices
- Manage stock control, ordering, and cost management (COS knowledge essential)
- Coordinate bush banqueting, picnics, and high-end food presentation events
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests
- Manage dietary requirements and deliver consistent quality
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a luxury lodge or hospitality environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, mentor, and develop kitchen teams
- Excellent knowledge of kitchen hygiene standards and food safety practices
- Experience with bush banqueting, picnics, and high-end food presentation
Qualifications
- Valid unendorsed South African driver’s license
