About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Programme Manager to lead the planning and execution of multiple technology projects and programmes in Johannesburg. As a key member of our client’s team, you will be responsible for driving business performance and enabling digital transformation through strategic direction, cross-functional coordination, and measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

Define programme objectives, timelines, and deliverables aligned to business strategy
Manage cross-functional teams and provide mentorship to project managers
Coordinate interdependencies across projects and ensure seamless execution
Oversee resource allocation including budgets, staffing, and tools
Engage senior stakeholders and provide regular updates on progress, risks, and milestones
Identify and mitigate programme risks to ensure successful delivery
Monitor performance through KPIs and adjust plans to optimise outcomes
Ensure adherence to governance frameworks, standards, and regulatory requirements
Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and programme insights

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Finance, or related field
PMP, Prince2, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification
6–9 years of project management experience
Proven experience managing cross-functional teams
At least 5 years’ experience in system integrations
Strong budget management and financial oversight experience
Exposure to governance frameworks and compliance standards
Experience in digital, IT, or operational project environments
