Key Responsibilities

You will lead the mechanical maintenance and repair of diesel engines powering sophisticated mobile refrigeration units. This involves performing full engine overhauls, cooling system diagnostics, and routine servicing to ensure maximum fleet uptime. Your role is critical in maintaining the mechanical integrity of high-value transport assets while adhering to strict safety and quality standards in a demanding environment.

• Trade Qualification: Must be a Qualified Diesel Mechanic with a recognized Trade Test (Section 13 or 26D).
• Industry Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of post-trade experience specifically within the transport refrigeration or heavy vehicle sector.
• Engine Mastery: Proven expertise in diagnosing and repairing small to medium diesel engines 
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of cooling systems, fuel injection systems, and mechanical drive components.
• Compliance: Must be currently based in (or willing to relocate to) the Port Elizabeth area.
