About the Role
A leading supplier within the equipment and FMCG sector is seeking an experienced Brand Manager to join their team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth through client engagement, training, and strategic account development, with a focus on growing and managing a portfolio of brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate leads and actively prospect for new business opportunities
- Drive growth across new and existing customer accounts
- Develop business through referrals and relationship networks
- Conduct on-site customer training and provide ongoing support and refresher sessions
- Ensure customers maintain adequate stock levels at all times
- Compile and submit weekly progress and performance reports
- Plan and conduct regular visits to clients locally and internationally
- Manage customer relationships and resolve any service or product-related issues
- Collaborate with marketing to effectively promote and position brands
- Support Key Account Managers in identifying and executing growth opportunities
- Liaise with procurement on strategic initiatives and stock planning
- Maintain a structured customer visit schedule (majority end users, remainder dealers)
- Perform additional duties as required
Requirements
Grade 12 (essential) and a relevant tertiary qualification
Minimum 4 years experience in a similar role
35 years experience in a strategic or leadership capacity
Proven sales track record, ideally within equipment sales or FMCG
Background in Sales Executive, Sales-focused Brand Management, or Key Account Management
Strong customer relationship management and communication skills
Ability to train, present, and engage with clients effectively
Good financial acumen and reporting ability
Valid drivers license and own reliable vehicle
