About the Role
We are seeking an inspiring, empowering, and results-oriented Assistant Food & Beverage Manager with a passion for service excellence and a proven ability to maintain high standards while meeting or exceeding financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing all Food & Beverage operations, including restaurants, bars, room service, and conferencing & events
- Contribute to the development and execution of F&B strategies aligned with business objectives
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences through innovative offerings and outstanding service standards
- Manage and control the F&B budget, driving revenue growth and ensuring operational profitability
- Plan and implement menus, promotions, and events to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue
- Establish and maintain high service standards across all F&B outlets
- Lead; motivate, and develop a large team, fostering teamwork, accountability, and staff engagement
- Oversee staff processes, including recruitment, performance management, conduct, and presentation
- Ensure effective workforce planning, rostering, and staff development initiatives
- Manage stock control, supplier relationships, and daily administrative functions
- Maintain compliance with hygiene, health & safety, and pest control standards
Requirements
Matric Certificate
Relevant tertiary qualification from a recognised South African or international institution
Additional certifications such as Cape Wine Academy, WSET, or Cocktail/Bar courses are advantageous
