About the Role
Protea Placements is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join their high-performing team in Knysna, WC. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and well-established Chartered Accounting firm with a satellite office in Plettenberg Bay.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute external audits from planning through to finalisation
- Compile Annual Financial Statements for companies, trusts, and NPOs
- Perform independent reviews
- Prepare and review working paper files
- Handle VAT submissions and verifications
- Prepare management accounts
- Manage client queries and maintain strong client relationships
Requirements
- Completed SAICA articles (signed off) non-negotiable
- BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
- Minimum 12 years post-articles experience in an audit environment
- Family or close ties to the Garden Route (Knysna / Plettenberg Bay) non-negotiable
- Strong academic record (matric certificate and university transcripts required)
- Contactable references from direct supervisors at last two employers
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications: BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
Salary & Benefits
R25 000 – R30 000 per annum
