About the Role
The Industrial Engineer at Durpro Workforce Solutions will design, implement and improve processes to enhance quality, efficiency and sustainability. A key focus of the role is to analyse existing processes, identify areas of improvement and implement changes to optimise operations. The role analyses workflows, develops process improvements and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Design and Optimisation – Develop new processes and improve existing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs and improve quality.
- Process Improvement Identify areas for improvement in existing processes, implementing changes and monitoring the effectiveness.
- Process Analysis Study existing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies and areas of improvement.
- Quality Control Ensures processes meet quality standards, through testing, analysis and the implementation of quality control measures.
- Process Documentation Creates and maintains documentation for all processes, including work instructions and SOPs.
- Process Implementation Oversees the implementation of new or modified processes, ensuring they meet safety standards.
- Trouble Shooting and Problem Solving Addresses technical issues and implements solutions to ensure process stability and reliability.
- Data Analysis Analyzes data, identifies trends, optimizes performance and improves decision making.
- Collaboration with cross functional teams, including production, maintenance and quality to control and achieve process goals.
- Continuous Improvement Identifies opportunities for process improvement and strategies to enhance efficiency and performance.
- Safety Prioritises safety in all aspects of process design and operation, ensuring safety that processes are safe for employees.
Requirements
Matric (Grade 12)
Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Industrial Engineering or other relevant qualification
At least 5 years relevant experience in similar position and/or level, in Automotive Manufacturing
Qualifications
SAP S/4Hana software knowledge to design, simulate and analyse processes
Strong engineering fundamentals
Experience with Production Processes and quality
Ability to design and implement control systems to regulate process parameters
Safety Knowledge
Ability to run simulations and analyse test data.
ISO 9000, ISO14000 /OHS Standards
Knowledge of Microsoft applications, with intermediate to advanced Excel
