Cape Town City Centre: Facilities Coordinator

About the Role

The Facilities Coordinator role is a critical position within our organization, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities across Cape Town City Centre. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience in facilities management, and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the execution of services at all designated sites according to building fabric and handyman maintenance
• Conduct Quality Control Inspections on a daily basis and ensure records are kept thereof
• Complete and reviewing of quality reports on a weekly/monthly basis
• Manage Contractors and familiarize with all terms and conditions and performance standards as per SLA per service
• Communicate additional service requirements to Key Accounts Manager to incorporate into SLA
• Provide regular task feedback to client and complete all/client requests to ensure client satisfaction
• Assist in timeous submission of invoicing by Contractors and that all details are received (work order number, PO number, vat registration number, etc)
• Complete monthly Management Report for Head Office, highlighting all operational issues and commenting on the status of such issues

Requirements

• Grade 12 or Diploma in Built Environment or Associated Services preferred
• 5 years experience in Facilities Management
• Computer Literate in MSOffice
• Experience of contract administration
• Knowledge of pre-planned maintenance services advantageous
• Knowledge of safety, fire and emergency procedures
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and relevant legislation
• Knowledge of SLAs and lease agreements
• Knowledge of basic technology in building (electrical, plumbing and construction)
• Valid drivers license
