About the Role
A six months contract is available for a Finance (Business) Analyst in a high-profile, worldwide multinational with a significant presence in South and Southern Africa. The successful candidate will be an exceptional analytical thinker, commercially orientated, numerate, and proficient in advanced MS skills. This demanding role requires strong collaboration with the finance team, close working relationship with the Finance Director for the Region, and excellent interpersonal skills to navigate diverse cultural environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial plans and forecasts, including annual operating plans projected on a quarterly basis and revised as necessary.
- Develop business cases and scenario analyses using Hyperion, Power BI, PowerPoint, Advanced Excel, and Power Planner.
- Conduct in-depth variance analysis of revenue, cost of goods sold, supply chain, sales & marketing, and expenses.
- Analyze actual vs. budget variances and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Provide financial reports as required for specific areas or ad hoc projects.
- Offer leadership, financial counsel, and oversight on ad hoc projects as needed.
Requirements
- Tertiary accounting qualification (CiMA, Accounting Honours, BCom (Informatics), or similar).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an analytical role, preferably in a product-related industry.
- Advanced Excel skills, including V & H Lookups, Sum-Ifs, Complex Pivot Tables, Graphs, and data manipulation.
- Ability to prepare professional PowerPoint presentations.
