About the Role
Telebest is seeking an experienced Draughtsman to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and drafting technical drawings, managing projects, and providing excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and draft technical drawings using various software tools
- Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and quality deliverables
- Provide expert advice on hydraulic systems, including hoses, fittings, seals, and threads
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions
- Utilize measuring tools to ensure accuracy in dimensions and information
- Develop a good understanding of material strengths and properties
Requirements
- Matric and relevant Engineering qualification or equivalent
- Strong experience and knowledge in an Engineering environment with exposure to hydraulics and/or cylinders
- Machining background:
- Knowledge of milling and turning
- Hydraulic background:
- Knowledge of hoses, fitting, seals, and threads
- Fabrication background:
- Knowledge of form of manufacturing process, boiler making, welding, and bending
- Drawing, modifying, designing, and confirming dimensions/information
- Ability to use different measuring tools
- Good understanding of the strengths of different materials
- Client liaison experience
- Project management skills
