About the Role
As a Procurement Manager at Liham Consulting Pty (Ltd), you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and procurement functions. Your primary responsibility will be to manage all aspects of purchasing, including supplier management, cost savings initiatives, and compliance with SHEQ regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Forward cover purchase orders and FEC confirmations to Senior Executive Logistics for approval.
- Identify areas where cost savings can be implemented.
- Process freight and clear documentation in conjunction with shipping agents and capture on Pastel incidents.
- Negotiate prices and discounted rates from suppliers.
- Monthly archive of purchase orders as part of month-end procedures.
- Complete annual development plans and staff performance appraisals.
- Uphold strict SHEQ measures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Manage internal and external escalations promptly and efficiently.
- Source and maintain current supplier source information, including price updates and BEE suppliers.
- Foster and improve customer and internal staff relationships.
Requirements
- Diploma in Logistics and/or Procurement.
- 5+ years of experience in a procurement function.
