About the Role
As a Trails Guide at Wild Dreams Hospitality, you will be responsible for leading guests on immersive bush walks and drives, ensuring both safety and education are at the forefront. This is a hands-on position that requires teamwork, respect for colleagues, and care for equipment, in addition to excellent guiding skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct safari-related activities (morning, afternoon, night drives, family drives, bushwalks, activities)
- Host guests and ensure exceptional experiences
- Lead safe and educational bush walks
- Participate in the Junior Conservationists program
- Assist with conservation and reserve-related activities
- Support colleagues and help where reasonably requested
- Maintain and care for equipment and vehicles, ensuring they are clean, neat, and presentable
- Strive to further education and professional development
Requirements
- Minimum FGASA Level 1 (NQF2)
- Full Trails qualification (or Back-up Trails Guide working towards Full Trails Guide)
- Valid Wilderness First Aid certification
- Valid PrDP
- Valid ARH
- SAPS business competency for rifles
- Big 5 experience preferred
- Strong organisational skills
- Mature, professional nature
