About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Slicer Operator, Packers, and Van Assistants to join our team in a fast-paced food production environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating slicing machines, packing products, and assisting with van operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate slicing machines and related equipment safely and efficiently
- Slice products to specified thickness, weight, or portion size
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Inspect products for quality before and after slicing
- Package and label sliced products correctly
- Monitor equipment performance and report faults
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Minimize waste and ensure efficient use of materials
Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12
- Previous experience in a food production, packing, or warehousing environment
- Experience operating slicing machines or similar equipment preferred
- Good understanding of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards
- Ability to work accurately and follow instructions
- Physically fit and able to work on your feet for long periods
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or overtime when required
