About the Role
We are seeking a confident and guest-focused Restaurant Manager to support front-of-house operations at our busy, high-end fine dining restaurant in Sandton. As the primary point of contact for guests, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of hospitality while managing a 300 seater venue.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all front-of-house floor activities during service
- Manage guest arrivals, seating, and table allocations to optimise flow and minimise wait times
- Act as the primary point of contact for guest queries, special requests, and complaints, ensuring prompt resolution
- Supervise waiters, hosts, and support staff to maintain service standards throughout the shift
- Support the Restaurant General Manager in maintaining operational standards and procedures
- Assist in managing reservations, table turnover, and seating plans during peak periods
Requirements
- 3 years experience in a supervisory or floor management role in a high-end, busy restaurant
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent guest relations and communication abilities
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of front-of-house operations and service flow
