About the Role
We are seeking a detail-driven Payroll Manager to oversee the full payroll function for a growing organization in Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial control, ensuring statutory compliance, and managing labour costs within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Multi-Branch Management: Oversee weekly wage and monthly salaried payrolls across multiple branches.
- Compliance: Ensure full adherence to all relevant South African legislation (including SARS, BCEA, LRA, and POPIA).
- Reporting & Reconciliation: Manage payroll-to-GL reconciliations and provide detailed labour cost reporting to management.
- Systems Oversight: Optimize payroll systems and manage time & attendance integration.
- Strategic Control: Implement strong internal controls and standardize processes across all operational branches.
Requirements
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Payroll, Finance, Accounting, or HR.
- Experience: 5+ years of robust payroll experience, preferably within industrial, manufacturing, or similar high-volume sectors.
- Expertise: Proven track record in multi-branch payroll environments and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
