About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Sales Manager (Pickups) in Germiston, Johannesburg. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a crucial role in driving used truck sales targets and supporting the growth of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Sales Manager in achieving monthly and annual used truck sales targets
- Assist in managing and motivating the sales team
- Monitor leads, enquiries, and follow-up processes
- Support deal structuring, pricing, and trade-in evaluations
- Ensure used stock is marketed effectively (online platforms, social media, yard displays)
- Assist with stock aging control and turnover
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Handle escalated customer queries and complaints
- Track sales performance and prepare basic sales reports
- Support training and onboarding of new sales staff
- Work closely with finance, admin, and aftersales departments
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric (essential)
- Diploma or degree in Sales, Business, or Management (advantageous)
- 2-5 years’ experience in used truck or commercial vehicle sales
- Previous experience in a sales consultant or team leader role preferred
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong knowledge of the used commercial vehicle market
- Valid driver’s license
