About the Role
The Press Tool Setter role is a critical position in our metal pressing environment, requiring extensive experience and technical expertise. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Press Tool Setter in Pinner Road, Durban.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain press tools for metal pressing operations
- Ensure accurate and precise tool setting for optimal production quality
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve tooling issues and improve efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of press tools and equipment
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations in the workplace
Requirements
- Qualifications: NQF Level 4 / Trade Test / QBE (Qualified by Experience) Recognised Trade Test in Toolsetting or Toolmaking highly preferred, or proven equivalent experience
- Experience: Minimum of 35 years experience specifically in a metal pressing environment
- Certifications: Valid Forklift license Valid Overhead Crane license
Qualifications
No formal education or certifications are required for this role. Relevant trade test or QBE certification is preferred.
