PRODUCTION MANAGER (CITRUS)
Swellendam

Our client is an internationally recognised grower, packer and exporter of citrus and grapes. The various farms and packhouses are situated across the Western Cape.

The company has a vacancy for a Production Manager for their Citrus division based outside of Swellendam.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Production

• Planting of citrus
• Irrigation scheduling
• Application of fertilizers
• Pest and plague control
• Pruning
• Harvesting
• Monitoring

Personnel and Administration

• Labour planning and management
• Recordkeeping
• Transport and accommodation planning
• Maintenance (equipment / orchards / general)

Financial

• Cost control

REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification
• Five years experience in the cultivation of citrus
• Knowledge of modern production practices
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
• Good administrative and communication skills
• Drivers license
