About the Role
Theodorah Ndaba Victim Support Centre is seeking an experienced Social Auxiliary Worker to join our team, providing vital support to victims of crime in Gauteng. As a key member of our VFR (Victim and Family Response) team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality services that make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emotional support and guidance to victims and their families
- Conduct home visits, interviews, and assessments as required
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other service providers to ensure comprehensive support
- Maintain accurate records and reports of client interactions and progress
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate
- Accredited Social Auxiliary Worker Certificate
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Proficiency in three Local Languages ( proficiency will be assessed during the interview process)
- At least 3 years of experience in the VEP (Victim and Family Response) sector
- Police Clearance Certificate
- Registration with SACSSP (South African Council for Social Service Professionals)
Qualifications
- Formal education: Grade 12 certificate
