Job Summary
Responsibilities:
Develop and nurture profitable relationships with brokers to attract and retain business. Promote and sell trucking insurance products using a consultative sales approach. Conduct risk assessments, underwriting analysis, and recommend alternative structures. Provide product training and support to brokers to enhance their knowledge. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities. Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and financial management. Maintain a structured branch and broker visitation plan. Skills & Experience Required: Minimum 7 years experience in Commercial, Agri, or Trucking insurance. Strong understanding of underwriting, risk assessment, and claims procedures. Relationship management skills with a proven ability to engage brokers effectively. Knowledge of heavy commercial vehicle products (advantageous). Familiarity with reinsurance principles and treaties. Short-Term Insurance NQF 4 or 5 qualification required. A BCom degree/diploma or similar qualification would be an advantage.
