About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Game Lodge General Manager to oversee the full operations of our lodge property in Brandfort, Free State. The successful candidate will report directly to the owners and be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, exceptional guest experiences, and strong team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all lodge operations including:
- Accommodation (160+ capacity)
- Restaurant and Banqueting
- Manage and lead a team of 45+ staff members
- Ensure high standards of guest service and operational efficiency
- Oversee property maintenance and upkeep
- Manage budgets, financial performance, and reporting
- Handle HR functions including:
- Staffing
- Training
- Performance management
- Report directly to ownership on operational and financial performance
Requirements
Minimum 10+ years management experience in a game lodge or hospitality environment. Proven track record of successful operations and team leadership.
Qualifications
Management Diploma or relevant qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: R25K 000 – R30 000 (Live-In)
