Cape Town City Centre: Accountant (Sales Analyst)

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Yacht Sales Analyst (Accountant) to join a dynamic, global organisation within the travel and leisure industry. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining robust financial controls in a fast-paced environment. Role Overview Reporting to the Finance Business Partner (Yacht Sales), you will play a key role in managing financial processes related to yacht sales, delivering insightful reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Financial Accounting & Reporting Manage end-to-end accounting for yacht sales transactions Perform month-end processes (journals, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments) Prepare management accounts, variance analysis, and KPI reporting Support consolidation and reporting activities SAP Project Accounting & Sales Order Management Oversee SAP project accounting for new boats and warranties Create and manage SAP sales orders aligned with commercial terms Collaborate with sales and operational teams to ensure financial accuracy Sales & Cost Accounting Track and reconcile deposits, commissions, and project costs Manage multi-entity and multi-currency cost allocations Financial Planning & Analysis Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes Support cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning Provide analytical insights to support business decisions Systems & Continuous Improvement Enhance reporting using advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, modelling) Drive process improvements and automation initiatives Stakeholder Engagement Build strong relationships across finance, sales, and operations Communicate financial insights clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders Minimum Requirements Qualified Accountant (ACCA or equivalent) Strong experience in financial reporting and month-end processes SAP experience (Project Accounting and Sales Orders advantageous) Experience with multi-entity and foreign currency accounting Advanced Excel skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement Work Environment Based in Cape Town (Waterfront) Hybrid model: minimum 2 days in-office per week Whats on Offer Hybrid working environment (minimum 2 days in-office) Competitive salary package Medical Aid 21 days annual leave Retirement fund Birthday leave Social and team engagement events Why Join This Opportunity?
