About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Accountant to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost and management accounting, with experience in implementing and managing ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
  • Analyze and interpret financial data to inform business decisions
  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Provide training and support on ERP system usage

Requirements

  • BCom Cost and Management Accounting / CIMA (or similar)
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in cost accounting or a related field
  • Exposure to ERP systems, including NetSuite, SAP, Sage x3

Qualifications

  • Formal education in Cost and Management Accounting

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Cost Accountant to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of daily figures, reconciliations, and financial reporting, as well as providing insights into store-level profitability and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy of daily figures and reconciliations
  • Monitor and consolidate daily sales, expenses, and cash-up reports
  • Resolve reporting discrepancies with store managers
  • Stock & Inventory Management
  • Conduct regular financial and stock audits across all sites
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies
  • Flag risks, irregularities, or non-compliance to senior management
  • Analyse product profitability and margins
  • Adjust costing models based on ingredient costs, imports, or currency fluctuations
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly cost analysis and variance reports
  • Provide insights into store-level profitability and operational performance
  • Deliver ad-hoc financial analysis to support management decisions

Requirements

Knowledge of IFRS for SMEs and VAT/tax compliance

Minimum 35 years experience in cost accounting, ideally in hospitality, retail, or food & beverage

Strong knowledge of stock control and cost management

Advanced Excel skills

ERP systems experience

Experience with POS-integrated stock systems is advantageous

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Professional accounting certification (SAIPA, SAICA, CIMA) preferred

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join our team in Cape Town City Centre, where you will be responsible for monitoring material and price variances, comparing budget BOMs to actual budgets, and reporting on monthly variances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor material and price variances
  • Compare budget BOMs to actual budgets
  • Report on monthly variances
  • Investigate variances and develop SOPs required to prevent loss
  • Budget development
  • Analyse costing models
  • Determine project budgets including all costs
  • Testing actual costs vs budgets
  • Monitor budget expenditure to determine any inaccuracies in forecasts
  • Utilise target costing instead of estimates to determine profit margins
  • Set targets for material cost
  • Compile cost packs for relevant roleplayers
  • Ensure a cost tracker is in place
  • Maintain and improve on costing models
  • Assist in maintaining spreadsheets specifying company position in regard to the market
  • Improve the accuracy of costing models
  • Design net costing system to calculate the cost of new and refurbished moulds

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years in a similar role
  • Manufacturing environment experience
  • Costing in manufacturing experience
  • Experience and understanding of BOMs
  • SYSPRO understanding
  • Advanced Excel skills

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Cost and Management Accounting or Similar
