Employer Description This is an architectural company that does residential projects Job Description Your responsibilities will be the following: Meet with clients to discuss their needs, ideas, budget, and project requirements. Create initial designs, sketches, and layouts for buildings and sites. Prepare detailed blueprints, specifications, and construction documents using hand-drawing and computer-aided design (CAD) software. Ensure designs adhere to building codes, zoning laws, public health and safety standards, and environmental regulations. Project Management Determine and manage project costs and deadlines throughout the project lifecycle. Work closely with engineers, construction professionals, and project teams. Prepare and submit planning applications and obtain necessary permits from regulatory bodies. Visit construction sites to monitor progress, ensure quality, and resolve any design-related issues that arise. Coordination and Communication Coordinate with engineers to integrate building systems like HVAC, electrical, and plumbing into the design. Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations for clients and other stakeholders. Draft and manage bid documents, contracts, and other agreements with contractors. Qualifications Matric M. Arch (Built Environment) SACAP registered Skills 4 years experience, post qualification A basic level of proficiency (or willingness to learn) in ArchiCAD would be advantageous but is not a prohibitor Benefits Group Life (This is after probation)
