About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Electrician or Technician with experience in Control Systems to join our team as a Field Service Technician. Based in Cape Town City Centre, this contract position will involve providing on-site and telephonic support to customers, maintaining records of repairs and returns, and ensuring compliance with ISO requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide written reports to clients and maintain records of repairs and returns.
- Prepare, submit, and keep records of warranty claims.
- Offer telephonic and on-site support to customers.
- Provide internal technical sales support.
- Ensure compliance with ISO requirements.
- Commission equipment and evaluate problems with specific applications.
- Address breakdowns and offer solutions.
- Willingness to travel for work, including after hours and cross-border support.
- Assist with spare stock control and warehousing.
- Help with customer quotes as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician or Technician with an N3 or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in Control Systems.
- Valid Drivers License and own reliable transport.
- Experience in Control Systems Electronics and/or Pneumatics.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent people skills.
Qualifications
- Completed N3 or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
