About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Pre-School Principal / Centre Manager to lead a well-established Pre-Primary School and Aftercare Centre in Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the centre operates effectively while maintaining high standards of education, safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the Pre-Primary School and Aftercare Centre
- Implement operational policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Support strategic planning and organisational growth
- Ensure operational efficiency and service delivery
- Monitor academic planning and learning outcomes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards for childcare and education
- Oversee recruitment, performance management, and staff development
- Manage disciplinary processes, grievances, and employee wellbeing
- Prepare and manage annual operational budgets
- Monitor operational expenditure and financial performance
- Oversee procurement and financial administration
- Manage debtor accounts and financial reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, or a related field
- Additional Business, Management, or Finance qualification advantageous
- Minimum 5 years’ senior management experience in an educational environment
- Proven experience managing operations, staff, budgets, and compliance
- Experience within Pre-Primary / Early Childhood Development environments

Salary & Benefits
- R50 000.00 – R60 000.00 CTC per month
- Benefits include: 50% school fee benefit, Momentum medical aid contribution, Pension contribution (8% employer contribution), Annual performance bonus
