About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Technical Manager to lead our commercial vehicles team in Cape Town City Centre. As a senior technical manager, you will be responsible for driving preventative and corrective maintenance programmes, ensuring compliance with labour legislation and OHS standards, and controlling technical budgets. If you have a proven track record in commercial vehicles or logistics, and are passionate about leading high-performing teams, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage fleet maintenance, facilities, tools, and equipment
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation, HR policies, and OHS standards
- Drive preventative and corrective maintenance programmes
- Implement technical policies, procedures, and audits
- Identify training needs and support skills development
- Oversee equipment replacement, warranties, and breakdown reduction
- Align staffing levels, productivity, and overtime with depot workload
- Develop and execute the Technical Department strategy in line with national objectives
Requirements
- Matric plus relevant Degree
- Senior technical management experience in commercial vehicles or logistics
- Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance, workshops, and cost control
- Proven people management and labour relations experience
- Systems-savvy with strong leadership and communication skills
Qualifications
- Completed Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management)
