About the Role

The Sales Manager (Industrial Chemicals) position at our client’s company in Cape Town City Centre is a key role that requires a seasoned sales professional with excellent leadership and management skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a sales team to achieve business goals through strategy, coaching, and motivation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar Sales Management position.
  • Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives and technicians.
  • Develop and execute sales plans and strategies to meet business and regional goals.
  • Monitor individual sales rep activity and provide performance coaching and feedback.
  • Use data to forecast sales, manage budgets, and analyze performance for strategic improvements.
  • Oversee lead quality, conversion rates, and sales cycle length while improving sales force automation.
  • Manage and nurture customer relationships and oversee the sales process for key accounts.
  • Interpret market trends to adapt strategies and ensure a competitive edge.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar Sales Management position.
  • Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
  • Valid drivers license and own reliable vehicle.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong numerical skills.
  • Skilled in analyzing performance data and reporting to Senior Management.
  • Excellent selling, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce is advantageous.

  • R40, 000 – R50, 000
