About the Role
Join our team as a Senior Developer at one of South Africa’s leading payment aggregators, where you’ll work with modern payment technologies to innovate in the growing fintech environment. As part of a high-impact team, you’ll improve secure and convenient bill-payment experiences for millions of users across Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate new clients into core platforms and ensure seamless technical onboarding.
- Conduct development testing to validate system functionality and stability.
- Perform system maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective fixes.
- Enhance existing features to improve performance, usability, and reliability.
- Design and develop new system functionality aligned with business needs.
- Resolve complex technical queries as part of 3rd-line support.
- Oversee system security, conduct audits, and ensure compliance.
- Continuously refine development processes, tools, and best practices.
- Mentor and guide team members to support skills growth and technical excellence.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in software development, computer science, or engineering.
- 8 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Java (Standard & Enterprise) and Spring Boot.
- Solid SQL skills using MS SQL Server and/or Postgres.
- Experience with Eclipse or NetBeans, Maven, and Git workflows.
- Comfortable working in a continuous integration and testing environment.
- Understanding and use of OpenAPI protocols.
