About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client in the Heavy Engineering industry is urgently seeking an experienced CNC Team Leader to join their team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing production processes, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and providing training and development opportunities to team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor production rates and take appropriate intervention when output does not meet set targets.
- Ensure that production processes meet specified requirements.
- Monitor production quality in accordance with Procedures and Work instructions and institute the necessary interventions to achieve the required quality.
- Ensure that employees comply with safety instructions and regulations and correct any unsafe conditions.
- Maintain an agreed standard of housekeeping.
- Comfortably deal with IR-related issues.
- Undergo any training as identified and deemed necessary to fulfill the above position.
- Liaise with supportive departments as required to resolve any problems in your area.
- Optimize CNC programs and ensure best practice is followed.
- Train and develop team members as per the skills matrix plan.
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform CNC programming using relevant software, including CNC Lathes, Milling Machines, Mill/Turn and Swiss Type Machines.
- Ensure CNC programs are met.
- Follow management processes such as daily employee timesheets, production and quality visual board, scrap report etc.
Requirements
Trade: Fitter & Turner with a minimum of 10 years of related experience, preferably in the Mechanical industry.

Salary range: R500K – R600K per annum, negotiable based on experience.
