About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Mechanic Intern to join our factory team in the textile manufacturing industry. This is a hands-on role where you will receive in-house training and mentorship on our mechanical machinery. The internship offers practical experience, the chance to develop mechanical skills, and the opportunity to grow into a permanent career in the factory maintenance and machinery field.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting senior mechanics in maintaining and repairing factory machinery.
Identifying mechanical issues and helping to troubleshoot problems efficiently.
Performing routine checks and preventative maintenance on equipment.
Supporting the team in ensuring machinery runs safely and effectively.
Learning to read technical manuals, blueprints, and machinery diagrams.
Following company safety protocols at all times.
Assisting with the installation and adjustment of mechanical components when required.
Keeping accurate records of maintenance work and repairs.

Requirements

Matric certificate.
A strong mechanical aptitude and genuine interest in working with machinery.
Age under 25 years for those with no prior experience OR up to 30 years old with relevant mechanical experience.
Basic problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work well in a team and take direction from senior mechanics.
Physical ability to handle machinery and perform hands-on tasks.
A valid drivers license is an advantage but not essential.
