Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and driven Mechatronics Engineer Intern to join our Engineering team. This role involves working in a cross-functional, project-focused environment, supporting automation, production systems, machine upgrades, and digital engineering solutions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engineering projects from concept through to implementation

Develop and integrate automation systems (PLC, HMI, motion control, vision systems, SCADA, server-side and front-end systems, data and analytics)

Assist with machine builds and upgrades (electrical, mechanical, and control systems)

Troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues and implement long-term solutions

Support reliability and predictive maintenance projects

Maintain accurate technical documentation and project reports

Apply engineering standards and equipment data models

Work collaboratively across departments
-
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality, GMP, and Food Safety standards
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric)

Bachelors Degree in Mechatronics Engineering (preferred)

Related Engineering Degree with cross-disciplinary capability will be considered

Diploma in Mechatronics with strong technical capability may be considered

12 years relevant experience (advantageous)
