About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Senior Buyer to join our team in Bloemfontein, responsible for sourcing and purchasing FMCG products and meats on behalf of our company. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and variety of products on our shelves, which is essential for our business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Select and purchase lines of FMCG products and meats
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive prices
- Ensure adequate stock levels that meet business requirements
- Facilitate sustainable growth through high-quality products
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Afrikaans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in Logistics (advantageous)
- Strong maths knowledge
- Good time management skills
- Proficient in MS Office
- High school diploma
- Ability to work and beat deadlines
- 5 – 10 years experience in a similar field
- Drivers License
