About the Role
We are seeking a Professional Civil Engineer/Technologist to join our client’s team in the Grabouw/Villiersdorp area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, particularly in low-cost housing projects, and be registered as either a Professional Engineer (PrEng) or Professional Engineering Technologist (PrTech). This role involves overseeing various civil engineering projects within this region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee low-cost housing projects from inception to completion.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate project feasibility and progress.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Prepare and review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams as needed.
- Monitor project budgets and schedules to ensure adherence to established parameters.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other project documentation as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PrEng) or Professional Engineering Technologist (PrTech).
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in civil engineering.
- Proven experience working on low-cost housing projects is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of relevant software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
- Proficiency in Afrikaans language is essential for effective communication with clients and stakeholders in the Grabouw/Villiersdorp region.
