About the Role
We are a flooring importer and distributor based in Epping 1, Cape Town, expanding our team and seeking an Administrative Assistant/Clerk to assist with administrative tasks, customer enquiries, and internal sales. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, prioritise tasks effectively, and possess excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving stock from creditors
- Placing orders for incoming goods
- Reconciling accounts for payment
- Processing credit notes for debtors
- Receiving payments from debtors
- At times, sending invoices and quotes to customers
- Collating data and preparing weekly & monthly reports
- Maintaining accurate filing systems
- Answering phone calls and attending to walk-in customers
- Assisting the sales desk with internal sales
Requirements
- Functional understanding of debtors and creditors
- Experience with creditors/intentory, receipting incoming stock, reconciling creditor accounts for payment
- Bookkeeping skills, including trail balance (advantageous)
- Intermediate skill in MS Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and work without supervision
- Ability to focus in an open plan office
