Meridian Wine Distribution is looking to hire an Export Controller for a well-known liquor company based in Cape Town. Responsibilities Include: Ensuring cost effectiveness across the export supply chain. Focusing on efficiency to ensure customer satisfaction. Attend to all customer queries relating to orders Build relationships with all service providers and export customers, whether this be existing or potential customers. Continuously build and maintain relationships with customers to ensure excellent service delivery and customer satisfaction. Assist with building business models in a collaborative process with our partners. Ensure all orders received via email and telephone are captured accurately and timeously on the BC system in accordance with order placement cut off times. Ensure all orders are captured accurately in accordance with order capture accuracy KPI. Ensure all sales quotes are captured accurately. Convert sales quotes to sales orders as required. Initiate query with finance for on hold accounts by placing all info onto the Blocked Accounts Google shared Doc. Effectively manage emails including making use of correct email etiquette and actioning emails timeously. Ensure all email orders have an email order confirmation in accordance with SOP. Ensure all calls are answered in accordance with SLAs. Answer calls with the appropriate telephone etiquette. Attend to and resolve all customer queries relating to orders in accordance with query management SLAs. Notice needs to be given to the department of agriculture of when loading needs to be done. If Declaration of Loading is required, this needs to be arranged prior to delivery. Any issues need to be dealt with effectively and timeously and certificates need to be effectively managed in terms of when each of them expires. Obtain PODs for all export orders. Liaise with Finance and the BC team regarding the implementation of the correct Pro-Forma / Export documentation and make recommendations about the content and the layout. Apply and or arrange for ZIBs for Bonded stock ensuring client has sent SAWIS 6 documents. Ensure that all transfers are declared at SARS. POS material for exports is delivered. Assisting with the creation of new customer accounts. Closely liaise with Procurement regarding stock levels. Ensure accurate records of customer Export Orders are actioned in the time frame required. All Export Documentation is accurately executed. Follow through to ensure that personal quality and productivity standards are consistently and accurately maintained. Plan and prioritise activities, demonstrating ability to manage competing demands. Demonstrate ability to anticipate and manage change. Demonstrate flexibility in balancing achievement of own objectives with the ability to understand and respond to organisational needs. Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety regulations. Ensure adherence to cyber security training requirements and compliance. Take full responsibility for the continuous development of leadership capability by growing leadership skills and knowledge, as well as participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organisations etc. This also includes participating in all leadership focused training and development initiatives presented by the company. Take full responsibility for performance management of all direct reports, managing their performance in relation to quality standards and agreed benchmarks and objectives. This entails motivating, inspiring and supporting employees to drive high morale within team. Compliance with reporting requirements across all aspects of sound people management: Recruitment Development Remuneration and Rewards Performance Management Career path planning On-the-job training, coaching & mentoring IR issues Ensure team adherence to relevant policies and procedures. Ensure appropriate levels of management and accountability. Motivate, delegate and empower direct reports appropriately, enabling them to take responsibility and display creativity and initiative. Follow through to ensure that personal quality and productivity standards are consistently and accurately maintained. Plan and prioritize, demonstrating abilities to manage competing demands. Demonstrate ability to anticipate and manage change effectively. Demonstrate flexibility in balancing achievement of own objectives with the ability to understand and respond to organisational needs.
