About the Role
As a Maintenance Worker at Persona Staff in Cape Town, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by performing general maintenance and repairs across various departments. Your duties will include routine inspections, attending to guest requests, maintaining swimming pools and outdoor spaces, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, tiling, etc.)
- Conduct routine inspections of rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities
- Attend to maintenance requests from guests and management promptly
- Maintain swimming pool, garden areas, and exterior spaces (if applicable)
- Ensure all equipment and tools are kept in good working condition
- Perform preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and disruptions
- Report major faults or safety hazards to management
- Assist with setup for events or functions where required
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in general maintenance (hotel/guesthouse experience advantageous)
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general building repairs
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
- Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
- Own transport (preferred due to location)
