About the Role
Cape Union Mart International Ltd is seeking a skilled Technical Business Analyst to join our dynamic IT Division. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, collaborating with various stakeholders to drive efficient and effective technology solutions that meet our customers’ expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to gather and document business requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of objectives.
- Analyse and define complex business processes, identifying opportunities for process improvements and technology enhancements.
- Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications for development teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Create functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and process flow diagrams to facilitate clear communication between business and technical teams.
- Participate in project planning, estimation, and resource allocation, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, providing guidance and support throughout the development lifecycle.
- Conduct thorough requirement reviews to identify potential issues, conflicts, and dependencies, and propose viable solutions.
- Collaborate with QA teams to validate that delivered solutions meet business requirements and perform user acceptance testing when necessary.
- Assist in data analysis and reporting, identifying trends and insights to inform strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Technical Business Analyst in a complex IT environment, preferably within the retail industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Proficiency in documenting requirements, functional specifications, process flows, and user stories.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
