About the Role
A well-established and growing group within the Retail and Manufacturing sector is looking to appoint a strong Senior Accountant to join their finance team based in the Tygervalley area. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment where inventory, stock control, costing, and multi-company financial management are central to the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Full financial management of multiple companies within the group
- Monthly management accounts and reporting
- Inventory accounting, stock reconciliations, and stock control oversight
- Manufacturing costing and margin analysis
- Retail financial reporting and analysis
- Balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger integrity
- VAT calculations and submissions
- Cash flow management and forecasting
- Budgeting and variance analysis
- Assisting with annual audits and financial year-end processes
- Monitoring internal controls and identifying process improvements
- Working closely with operations regarding stock movement, shrinkage, and costing accuracy
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance
- Completed articles advantageous
- 3+ years experience in a Senior Accountant or similar role
- Strong experience within Retail, Manufacturing, FMCG, Wholesale, or Distribution environments
- Proven experience dealing with inventory and stock accounting
- Experience managing the full financial function across multiple entities
- Strong Excel and accounting systems experience
- High attention to detail with strong commercial understanding
- Able to work independently in an onsite environment
