SMP Supervisor East Africa Fixed Term (Structural/Mechanical/Piping)

Our client based in Cape Town is seeking suitably qualified and experienced Supervisor – SMP to join their dynamic, Project team. Reporting to the Construction Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for working with our multinational team of expert expats and motivated local staff and managing all aspects of material movement the assigned project to meet the project schedule and work with
Duties
- Manage the quality of output of the project area site teams including alignment with company, Client, regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate the various procedures, work practices, plans, and protocols to enable site teams to work efficiently and maintain a consistent approach and consistently high standard of work.
- Manage the technical competency of the site team in the delivery of the activities is continuously enhanced and developed to meet client and project requirements.
- Ensure safety, environmental, community and industrial relations, and quality plans and procedures are adhered to across the site.
Minimum Requirements
- Technical Qualification in Construction/Engineering (desirable) or equivalent industry experience.
- At least 8 years experience in various aspects of Construction Management and Supervision, preferably in the mineral processing construction and related industries.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors and co-workers.
- Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision whilst consistently producing a high quality of deliverables.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve consistently high standards within both budgetary and schedule constraints.
