About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. We are looking for an experienced engineer with a passion for delivering high-quality technical solutions and exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing technical duties as directed by the Engineer, including design, costing, and specifications
- Drafting technical reports of acceptable technical and presentational quality
- Presenting technical work as well as presenting service offerings to potential clients at technical conferences
- Providing technical solutions and developing an appreciation of outcomes
- Responsible for completing specifically assigned tasks on time and within budget
- Ability to check and inspect constructed works for compliance to design and specifications with moderate supervision
- Communicating with consultants on technical matters
- Drafting and implementing Works Authorisations/ Variation Orders
- Reviewing Contractors claims and drafting recommendations/rulings/determinations
- Providing support in the drafting and submitting of work authorisations
- Providing technical support to other departments
Requirements
- Degree in Structural Engineering
- 5-7 years of experience in reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, and timber design
- Registration as Candidate with ECSA
- Proficient in Autocad, Revit, Tekla Structures
- Knowledge of structural elemental and Finite element design packages (Prokon, Etabs, Frame, Safe, Tekla Structure Designer, etc)
Qualifications
- Degree in Structural Engineering
