WatersEdge Solutions is hiring a highly technical and solutions-oriented German-Speaking TypeScript Developer to join a forward-thinking software team supporting projects across the utilities sector. This is an opportunity to work on deep interface implementations using AWS and TypeScript, while collaborating with an international team and leveraging a cutting-edge tech stack.

About the Role
Youll work with a 360 integration platform (XRM) to implement Lambda functions, configure AWS environments, and manage complex bidirectional mappings between systems. This role requires a strong foundation in TypeScript, AWS Lambda, and interface-based architectures. Conversational German skills are required to support collaboration with German-speaking teams and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement AWS Lambda functions using JavaScript/TypeScript based on interface specifications

• Manage deep data structure mappings between inbound and outbound source/target systems

• Work with defined interfaces (OpenAPI, SOAP) using object-oriented design

• Support observability and monitoring by integrating tools such as DataDog or New Relic

• Configure infrastructure using Terraform and AWS-native tools

• Forward monitoring alerts from code to services like Watchdog for observability

• Contribute to backend and frontend components depending on project requirements

• Collaborate cross-functionally with global developers and system architects

What Youll Bring

• Several years of hands-on experience in TypeScript development (frontend or backend frameworks)

• Proven experience with AWS Lambda development (Node.js preferred)

• Knowledge of OpenAPI and SOAP interface design and implementation

• Strong object-oriented programming skills and familiarity with interface-driven architecture

• Experience in payload transformation between complex data structures

• Conversational German proficiency (reading, writing, and verbal)

Nice to Have

• Experience using observability tools (DataDog, New Relic)

• Familiarity with AWS configuration via Terraform

• General understanding of interface and API implementation in distributed systems

• Exposure to SAP backend integration or SAP Cloud Platform (advantageous)
