Electrical Installations & Maintenance Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Perform electrical installations for residential, commercial, or industrial buildings (depending on company focus). Install and repair circuit breakers, transformers, distribution boards, conduits, and lighting systems. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems. Fault Finding & Repairs Diagnose electrical faults and troubleshoot system issues. Repair malfunctioning wiring, components, or equipment. Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and instruments. Compliance & Safety Ensure all electrical work complies with SANS regulations and safety standards. Prepare and issue Certificates of Compliance (CoC) where required. Follow safety procedures, risk assessments, and lock-out/tag-out practices. Technical Support & Documentation Interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and wiring schematics. Maintain accurate records of repairs, installations, and inspections. Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and contractors about project progress and issues. Tools & Equipment Operate and maintain electrical tools and testing equipment (multimeters, insulation testers, etc.). Ensure tools are kept in good working order and used safely. Experience Requirements 25 years hands-on experience as an Electrician (depending on the level of the position). Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial environments. Strong background in installations, fault-finding, and repairs. Experience issuing CoCs is a strong advantage. Knowledge of SANS 10142 and related regulations. Qualifications & Skills Requirements Matric / Grade 12 . Qualified Electrician (Red Seal / Trade Test) essential. Wiremans License or ability to issue CoC an advantage. Strong mechanical and technical aptitude. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Good communication and teamwork skills. Physically fit to handle manual tasks. Valid drivers license (preferred).
