About the Role
The Software Tester role at AllSpes (Pty) Ltd involves performing testing on changes, fixes or new projects and features in VeriClaim to ensure that users will not be negatively influenced when upgraded to production. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and functionality of VeriClaim through structured testing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manual testing of website or mobile application
- Design, review and execute test plan, test cases and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications
- Perform functional, regression, integration and user acceptance testing
- Identify, document and track defects
- Reporting and driving defect issue resolution
- Reporting on test progress, risks and issues
- Identifying & reporting risks associated with upgrade of tickets tested
- Completing testing within expected timelines
- Participating in compiling and reviewing of testing documentation
- Planning, conducting, and reporting back on group test workshops
Requirements
- 2 5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
- ISTQB foundation level (beneficial, preferred)
- Expert knowledge of the VeriClaim system (beneficial)
- Knowledge of the Private Medical Aid industry (beneficial)
- Knowledge of test case design, test planning and defect tracking
- Familiarity with defect tracking tool JIRA
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database testing (beneficial)
