About the Role
Weexert is seeking a highly skilled Centurion: Structural Engineer to join our team on an urgent basis. As a key member of our infrastructure development projects, you will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity and compliance of buildings and infrastructure projects. Your expertise in structural analysis, design, and construction will play a critical role in delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
- Design structural components and systems for buildings and infrastructure projects.
- Perform structural analysis and calculations using engineering software.
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure structural integrity and compliance.
- Review and approve construction materials and methods.
- Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and project managers.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
- Provide technical guidance during construction and resolve structural issues.
- Monitor project progress to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Candidate Engineer (Pr Eng/Pr Tech Eng).
- Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETABS, Prokon, SAP2000).
- Strong knowledge of structural design codes and standards.

- Formal education/certifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
