About the Role
A well-established business is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper & Payroll Administrator to manage the full bookkeeping and payroll function on a half-day basis. This role is ideal for a structured, detail-driven finance professional who can work independently and take ownership of financial administration while supporting directors with accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts for directors
- Assisting with Annual Financial Statements preparation for auditors
- Full processing and reconciliation of all bank accounts
- Managing Debtors and Creditors reconciliations
- Calculation and submission of VAT reconciliations and returns
- Processing and maintaining monthly payroll
- Maintaining and updating general ledger accounts
- Managing company petty cash
- Maintaining asset registers for audit purposes
- Providing financial and administrative support to directors
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper with Payroll responsibility
- Strong reconciliation and financial reporting experience
- Experience preparing management accounts
- Solid VAT knowledge and submission experience
- Payroll processing experience
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently
- High level of confidentiality and integrity
